Baby Chard!

Richard doesn’t love going to the Farmer’s Market as much as I do. But on Sunday when I was taking Violet to the Metropolis exhibit at the LACMA, he agreed to go get berries, grapes and Swiss chard. Hooray!

When I got home I looked at the chard and thought it was spinach because it was so tiny. Richard assured me that it was definitely chard, so could only conclude that it was (drum roll…) BABY chard! It’s so cute.


I’m sure you could eat it just like this and call it a salad, but I sauteed it with a tablespoon of water, a few teaspoons of oil and sprinkled salt and pepper. Yum!
